US HIGHWAY 380 IS FUNCTIONALLY COMPLETE

After years of construction and hard work, I’m thankful to celebrate the functional completion of US Highway 380 in Denton County. Its completion marks the next step in the ongoing battle for safer roads and better commutes. The multi-year, five segment construction project has significantly increased the flow of traffic despite continued monumental growth in the area. Driving it regularly, I can attest to its remarkable improvement. I want to express my sincere appreciation to Zachry Corproration, their subcontractors, and TXDOT for their meaningful work on US Highway 380.

An update on FM 2931 and FM 1385: Though not happening nearly soon enough, we are making progress. The Right-Of-Way (ROW) acquisition is practically complete on FM 2931, with about one parcel remaining to be purchased and an expected completion of July 2026. FM 1385 is expected to be broken up into phases, with Highway 380 to Fishtrap being the first construction phase. ROW acquisition for this phase is expected to be completed by November 2026. Though shovels aren’t yet turning on these critical projects, the necessary steps are being taken to move the projects forward.
