REP. PATTERSON CONDEMNS OPPONENT’S ATTACK ON FRISCO POLICE OFFICERS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 9, 2026

(Frisco, TX)  Last week, candidate Larry Brock released a video online where he questioned the integrity and the professionalism of Frisco police officers, claiming they’re “bought off” for not supporting candidates who plan to gas or kill police officers. Brock’s attack against Frisco police came after the FPOA joined statewide and county law enforcement in a letter condemning Brock’s violent history and dangerous rhetoric regarding killing officers.

The letter exposed Larry Brock and called his background “categorically disqualifying.” Law Enforcement groups and Denton County leaders called it “an explicit conditional endorsement of killing police officers.”

The letter, also signed by Denton County Sheriff Tracy Murphree, Denton County Constables Michael Truitt and Doug Boydston, along with the Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA) and Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT), was posted by Austin media last Monday. The letter highlighted Brock’s plan to kill political and media leaders, where he said specifically, “Do not kill Law Enforcement Officers unless necessary. Gas would assist in this if we could get it.” It also highlighted allegations of domestic abuse involving Mr. Brock, where law enforcement was called to his home 13 times between 2016 and 2020.

Rep. Jared Patterson stated, “Larry Brock’s violent behavior and dangerous rhetoric is completely unacceptable. There is no excuse he can claim to make up for his advocating for killing police officers. Frisco police officers specifically are among the best this state has to offer. It’s ironic that Mr. Brock, of all people, should question the integrity of the men and women who serve our community and keep our families safe. So long as I am the State Representative for this district, we will always Back The Blue.”
