· In 2019, I helped pass SB 1978, known as the ‘Save Chick Fil A Bill’ after the City of San Antonio barred the company from the city’s airport based on their religious beliefs. No company should be discriminated against based on the faith of their founders and SB 1978 further clarified that in Texas law.

· In 2021, I supported SB 797 which helped put our national motto, “In God We Trust”, in every school building in Texas. After, I proudly worked with parents to ensure area schools had them displayed!

· I backed SB 763 in 2023, allowing chaplains to serve in Texas public schools as additional school counselors, providing greater resources to all students.
